    Worship Instructions below...

Highland Hills United Church offers combined In-Person and Zoom services at 9:30 am.

    Your Help Is Needed!

Our coffee time after church has been very well attended and is a wonderful opportunity for our church family to socialize and share time together but it does require hands and feet for it to be successful.  Please ask yourself if you might be able to help shoulder the load as more helpers are needed to sign up to fill the kettles and coffee pots with water and set out trays of mugs.

Happy Advent: You may have noticed a different advent wreath this year. Katy Cox has loaned us her family’s Advent Wreath. You are invited to take a closer look. It has the Christmas story embossed around the wreath; the Holy Family, Shepherds, Magi, Angels and Stars.

    Upcoming Book Study

After a very fruitful discussion this autumn, the Book Study group has chosen to continue meeting.  The next book we have chosen is Do I Stay Christian? A Guide for the Doubters, the Disappointed and the Disillusioned by Brian McLaren.  20 copies have been ordered from Master’s Books in Haliburton at the amazing price of $6.  Whether or not you were part of our recent study, all are welcome.  We will meet in-person on Tuesdays at 10:00 AM and will offer an online option at a preferred time for those seeking this option.  Please be in touch with Marybeth Wilson at marybwilson72@gmail.com or 705-754-1901 to express interest.

    PLEASE REVIEW:

Please note that at the last Unified Board meeting, it was decided to discontinue supporting the Toll-Free telephone number for Zoom at a cost of $100 monthly as a cost saving measure and the lack of use.  The service will be discontinued beginning in January.  Zoom can still be contacted by phone for free but it is a long-distance telephone number so some may have personal long-distance costs.  Rev. Max has contacted those known to be impacted and they are prepared to continue attending with us even without the Toll-Free number.

    Sincerely,   Rev. Max
