Highland Hills United Church offers combined In-Person and Zoom services at 9:30 am.
CHURCH OFFICE HOURS
Please be advise that Dee will be on vacation September 21st – 30th. The church office will reopen Tuesday October 7th.
Phone Messages will be retrieved periodically during this time.
The Witness Blanket is at Trinity St Andrew’s United Church,( 50 Laidlaw St). The blanket is a replica of a cedar carving containing mementos of Indian Residential Schools with items supplied by former students and their families. Only by knowing more can we do better.
We are going to carpool down Sat. Sept. 20th with 2 options. You can leave at 11 and join a group lunch at a nearby restaurant before viewing the blanket or leave at 12:30 and just view the blanket. Please let Katy know (705 457 0247) if you can drive or if you need a ride
The blanket is available for viewing Tues to Sun, until October 18th, noon to 8pm if another date is better for you.Knitting For Warmth Tuesdays at 1:30 – 3:30 pm. HHUC Lower Level. For more information about KFW contact Mary at 705-286-5173.

Thanksgiving Food Drive September 21st to October 12th You are invited to share food or money to purchase food for those in need. Let’s help others enjoy Thanksgiving too. Money does go farther as Minden Community Food Centre gets the best price for food.

Orange Shirt Day is September 28th
Sunday October 5th is World Communion Sunday. We will celebrate Communion, and we ask you to join us and plan your own in-home communion elements if you are worshipping through zoom. We will offer regular communion with bread cubes and juice, as well as the pre-filled cups; or you are welcome to bring your own communion to church as well. Let’s celebrate with our Christian sisters and brothers around the world!
Diner’s Club: Our Diner’s Club convener this year is Marie Lennard, and it is being held on the second Thursday of every month; next one is on Thursday October 9th If you are interested in any future dinners, please call Marie to get on the calling list at 705-286-3037.
